Do I have to enter every case manually?

No. Give the spellings the Court prints for your name, and your matters are found for you in published cause-list information and offered as possible matches. You confirm which matters are actually yours, and only the matters you confirm are added to your account.

What can JJ alert me about?

Seven things. A new published Court date; your matter turning up in a supplementary list; your matter appearing on a readable Court board; the Court asking for counsel by name; a notice the Court publishes for a Court you are listed in; the registry posting its record of a day in your matter, with the next date it fixed; and the moment a filing number becomes a registered case number. Plus the reminders you set yourself.

How much of the case details do I get?

The published case details: parties and their counsel, acts and sections, the registry’s scrutiny objections and the documents filed, every Court day recorded, linked matters, the bench, and the orders — with the Court’s own order document opening inside the app rather than sending you off to find it. It is shown exactly as the Court records it and it is read-only; nothing is rewritten and nothing is summarised.

Can I keep my own notes and tasks?

Yes. Notes, what happened in Court, next actions, tasks and reminders can stay connected to the matter so they are easier to find later.

Will there be a chamber version?

Do I have to confirm my matters every day?

No — you confirm a case once, not every hearing. New listings for that case then appear in your JJ view on their own. You are asked again only when a new name match turns up, and that is a single tap.

What if I confirm one that turns out not to be mine?

Nothing breaks. Open the case, choose Remove from my cases, and it leaves Today at once. Your notes, tasks and reminders on it are kept, and you can add it back whenever you want.
