Terms and Conditions
These terms govern your use of Johar Justice — the website, the mobile applications and the services behind them. By creating an account you accept them.
Effective 25 August 2026 · Published by NutanTech Labs LLP
This page is published in English and Hindi. Where the two differ, the English text governs.
1. Who we are and what this is
Johar Justice ("JJ") is an independent productivity application for advocates practising before the Jharkhand High Court at Ranchi. It reads publicly available Court information — published cause lists and, where readable, the Court's display board — and organises it alongside an advocate's own notes, tasks and reminders. It is published by NutanTech Labs LLP.
JJ is not operated by, endorsed by, or affiliated with the Jharkhand High Court or any other court, tribunal or government body. Nothing on this site or in the application is an official Court record or communication.
2. Who may use JJ
JJ is built for advocates and their chambers. You may create an account if you are at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under Indian law.
You are responsible for everything done through your account. Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself, and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has used them.
3. What JJ does, and what it does not do
JJ helps you find and follow matters that appear in published Court information, and gives you a place to keep your own notes, tasks and reminders about them.
- JJ does not give legal advice, and nothing it shows is legal advice.
- JJ does not file anything, appear in any matter, or communicate with the Court on your behalf.
- JJ does not create, certify or authenticate Court records. It reproduces what the Court has already published.
- JJ shows you possible matches against the name spellings you supply. You decide which matters are actually yours.
4. Court information is published information
Court information reaches JJ from sources the Court publishes. Those sources can be delayed, incomplete, corrected, withdrawn, or temporarily unavailable, and JJ can only be as current and as complete as they are.
You must verify anything that matters from the Court’s own published source before you act on it. JJ is a convenience, not a substitute for checking, and it is offered on that basis.
5. Alerts
JJ can send alerts about the matters you track — a new listing, a supplementary listing, an appearance on a readable Court board, or a reminder you set yourself.
Alerts depend on your device, your network, your notification settings and the availability of the underlying Court source. We work to deliver them reliably; we do not guarantee that any particular alert will arrive, or arrive at any particular time, and you should not rely on an alert as your only means of knowing about a listing.
6. Your content stays yours
Your notes, tasks, reminders and the matters you choose to track belong to you. We do not claim ownership of them and we do not sell them.
You grant us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your content, process it, and display it back to you and to anyone you deliberately share a chamber with. That permission ends when you erase your account.
7. The pilot
JJ is currently offered as a launch pilot. Pilot access is provided free of charge, features may change while we refine the product around real Court days, and we may change or end the pilot on reasonable notice.
The price stated on this site is the planned price after the pilot. No payment is collected today, and we will not begin charging an existing account without telling you first and giving you the chance to decline.
8. Acceptable use
- Do not scrape, resell or systematically extract Court information from JJ.
- Do not attempt to access another advocate’s account, matters or notes.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer or circumvent the security of the service.
- Do not use JJ to store anything unlawful, or to present anything from JJ as an official Court record.
9. Availability
We aim to keep JJ available and current, but it is provided on an "as available" basis. Maintenance, upstream Court-source outages and faults will sometimes interrupt it.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent Indian law permits, neither NutanTech Labs LLP nor its partners or personnel are liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from your reliance on Court information you did not verify from the Court’s published source.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Suspension and closure
You may erase your account at any time from the app or from the account portal on this site. Erasure removes your JJ data as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is being used to harm another user, or where we are required to do so by law.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. The current version and its effective date are always on this page. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email before they take effect. These terms take effect on 25 August 2026.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Ranchi, Jharkhand, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
